    Hello.
    I have a Asus N551JM with N16P-GX-A2 that turns on immediately when 19V are applied. goes to 450mA and 15 secs after fan goes to full speed at 550ma.
    No image and no USB port activity.
    All tensions and signals seem to be present. PM_SYSPWROK present, 3.39V
    CPU vcore and GPU vcore OK. 5V, 3.3V etc all OK

    Board specs:
    n551jm-rev20
    n16pgxa2
    vram8-sr15g-ite8585efxa
    W25Q64(8K BIT OTP)

    Can it be a crazy EC that needs to be reprogrammed?
    Bios should be OK right?
    Here the original Bios dump.

    yes IT8585E have Programming.
    i think try one BIOS new before where Programming EC.

    Hi!

    Yes, Ive tested it with the Bios file

    Asus n551-n551jm-rev20-n16pgxa2-vram8-sr15g-ite8585efxa-W25Q64(8K BIT OTP).BIN

    same thing.board acts the same.
    Do you have EC file for this model?

    Now that I have the programmer for this, but I still have a small problem.
    Since the MB starts itself when plugged in, I cannot program the chip while its running.
    I see 3 or 4 pins with 3.3V on the power button connector, dont know which one to short to ground...

    Should I power the IT8585E directly with 3.3V at PIN 11 VCC and should be good?

    Ive mapped the KB connections for the Vertyanov if anyone needs it just copy this to file MB connection ITE.txt

    N551JM KB_pins=30 PD0=29 PD1=20 PD2=15 PD3=23 PD4=14 PD5=16 PD6=12 PD7=30 BUSY=26 STB=18 AFD=28 INIT=21 SLIN=19 KSI4=22 KSI5=24

    Cmos battery is fine, 3.03V
