    Oh sorry :) too sleepy today!

    But previously I understood the PWD is in the KBC chip and not in bios
    Or am I wrong?

    Still locked... bad CRC of security settings in EFI variable.... when the machine booted the first time.
    Do you have any idea what this could be?

    Enter ThinkPad Setup. — The checksum of the Security
    settings in the EFI Variable is not correct

    Solution:
    Enter ThinkPad Setup to correct Security settings in
    the EFI Variable.

    Hello

    Sorry what do you mean?
    Only thing done to the laptop was KBC chip flashed with this post rom, and BIOS with the BIN file you sent.

    Password still there, and this error message Bad CRC

    returm old and send i one photo display request password, and provided both bios old.

    pwwd.
    Here are both original files, BIOS and KBC

    And I can see that the picture of the PWD before had a user symbol, and now it has a computer symbol

    Laptop starts with fan at full speed. no image :(

    Wow, never thought this would be so tough ... has anyone made it to unlock one of these models?

    lenovo is very difficult, You can find more external unlock service vinafix.

    MY MAINBOARD IS AILL1/L2 LA-C421P I HAVE TRIED ALL FILES IN THE FORUM THE DONT DISPLAY. I CANT PROVIDE BACK UP BECAUSE THE ORIGINAL CHIP IS FAULTY NOT READABLE PLEASE ASSIST ME TO GET A WORKING BIOS FILE
