    Did you check logic board? These models usually end up with sulfate in components.

    Hi E1LM..
    Yes, The pcb did have signs of minor liquid damage around U8130, U5110 & SPI header. I totally removed SPI header as it looked a bit rough, & re-flowed the ic's. Then checked the PCBs main rails which seemed ok. I could have missed something so
    suggestions are welcome, currently I am still waiting on some WSOP adaptor pcb's so that I can try checking/changing BIOS as advised by another member here..

    If you have sulfate, the problem is in logic board.
    Let's start in parts. Check me the integrated you say U5110, I think you erred.

    Ok.. Thank you for assistance.
    U5110.. Pins..
    1 = 3.43v
    2 = 0v
    3 = 3.43
    4 = 2.8v
    5 = 3.40v .. This resets SMC.. PCB only restarts if power disconnected then reconnected.
    6 = 3.40v
    7 = 3.40v
    8 = 3.40v

    ..
    The measurements are correct in U5110.
    Now we need the measurements of U8130 and we are interested to know the measurements in coils L7560 and L7520.
    Did you check the other side of the plate? I need to know the status of U7501 and its measurements.

    The measurements are correct.
    I miss some doubts, did you try to turn on without any peripheral connected? Use joining R5115 (carries signal smc_onoff_L to GND)
    What charger are you using?
    Do you have the battery connected?

    I have tried turning it on with the laptop fully assembled, also fully disassembled (just logic board & dc-in board with charger.) Also I have tried just logic
    board dc-in board with only battery connected.
    The charger is the original Apple one.

    I have also tried with bench PSU set to 15v and new Apple USB lead but same issue exists.

    Shorting R5115 just seems to shut down the board and start it up again.. but fan still spins up to full.

    The fan without cable I / O, battery and trackpad will always revolutionize.
    When do you get a bio programmer?

    The problem is... The fan starts slowly. But then gets faster until it reaches full speed, and it stays at full speed.

    I have programmers, I'm just waiting for some WSOP adapter boards to solder the bios chip on.

    You can use 8 direct cables to the programmer. I already got impatient with this repair hahaha

    Got the socket E1LM... flashed the BIOS.. Even tried a new pre-programmed BIOS chip

    However no luck.. board still has the same issue.. Fan spin > Green light > then orange light > then fan starts spinning up higher and higher until full speed.

    Any other ideas please?

    Look for a missing resistance or corroded rail with a microscope.
